Fall Prevention

Fall prevention is a key concern for long term care, senior housing and Alzheimer’s facilities. The ability to monitor residents/patients exit from bed or chair and immediately notify staff is paramount in reducing potential falls which could result in injury.

CME carries a complete line of wireless fall prevention sensor pad systems for both bed and chair. Our wireless fall prevention products integrate with our emergency call systems or can be used as a stand alone device. Depending on the type of system, staff is notified via handheld radios, cordless phones, pagers or a local enunciator unit when the resident/patient exits the bed or chair. Used in conjunction with our emergency call system, the computer processes the event and sends the alarm notification to all caregivers. A permanent record is logged to the computer and the report section allows you to view and print all events that occur. This is a useful tool when assessing the ongoing care of the resident or patient.
